After completing his studies in art and design at the “Ecole des Beaux Arts de Paris”, metalworker Patrick Meyer made his debut in 1985 as a jewelry designer. Immersing himself in the world of Parisian high fashion, Patrick was recognized at this time both as an independent artist selling his work to galleries, boutiques, and stores and as a designer working in collaboration with well known French fashion houses such as Guy Laroche, Charles Jordan, Hanae Mori and Paco Rabanne. His work has rich cultural influences. Born & raised in the eastern part of France by a Catholic mother and a father with a Jewish ancestry, he grew up with a strong interest in Jewish and ancient history around the Mediterranean Basin, seeking a spiritual connection with his roots. As a 12-year-old student he began a life-long infatuation with classical studies, and he immersed himself into Latin, Greek, and French philosophy and literature.

Now operating out of San Francisco, Patrick is successfully established as a metal sculptor, specializing in functional and decorative cast pewter accessories and objects for the home, office, kitchen and bath. Often working with high grade lead-free pewter, a soft metal that’s easily forged, folded, and cast, he draws his inspiration from modern and primitive art in addition to cultural influences. His aesthetic places an emphasis on pure futuristic and organic lines which result in a symbolic and original design. A full line of unique home decor, personal accessories, and Judaica is available via special order.
