Sferra has unveiled several new collections for Spring ’18 that are now available for order. Here are some notable additions that we feel fill a void:
A technique called fil coupé – popular amongst the finest of clothiers – gives this lightweight yarn-dyed cotton jacquard a texture that looks as delicate as embroidery. Ethereal duvet covers and shams are available in your choice of muted, nature-inspired neutrals; choose from Sky and Stone. Sky is pictured.
Intreccio results from Sferra’s partnership with Italy born design icon Alessandra Branca. A twist on a classic basket weave pattern and Alessandra’s trademark Branca stripe adds a special touch to what would otherwise be a more conventional bedding style. The fabric is a crisp cotton percale and the collection includes a duvet cover, flat sheet, dec pillow, pillowcases and pillow shams.
Embellished arabesque scrollwork recalls the rhythmic tendril first seen in Renaissance art. Somina features an opulent high thread count Egyptian Cotton sateen jacquard, boasting a remarkable feel and an almost mirror-like sheen. Similar in style to SDH’s popular Legna Seville, it makes a good choice for our customers who have grown to love SDH Legna Seville but would prefer a more durable cotton sheet.
Sferra’s Chianni pillow was first introduced in 2017 as a white on navy maritime inspired pillow. Now, three new lighter color choices give Chianni a new look.
Contrary to appearance, Chianni’s four stripe pattern draws its inspiration not so much from Pratesi’s classic 3-line embroidery, but from a maritime signal flag. The pillow adds a smart-looking accent to keep any bed looking slightly shipshape.
Nope, it’s not another throw. It’s a scarf! A real scarf, not a bed scarf. Bold color blocking in contrasting halves give casual wit and visual weight to this gossamer scarf, an ultra-light weave of cotton, linen, wool and silk.
