Beginning tomorrow, purchase a Care Card and receive 20% off at The Linen Tree and hundreds of other local retailers in the Phoenix metropolitan area. At The Linen Tree, we give 20% off of all in-stock merchandise. We are well stocked in preparation for the sale, with everything from white sheets and warm down bedding to festive dinnerware and just about everything you would need to host the holidays. Thymes Frasier Fir is also in stock and we just received a fresh shipment from Abyss & Habidecor – now is the perfect time to make sure you have fresh towels ready for your fall guests. Come the holidays we always have last minute shoppers who forgot to buy towels!

Care Cards are $60 each this year and proceeds benefit UMOM New Day Centers, a local organization providing emergency shelter, transitional housing, and much more to homeless families and helpless children within the Phoenix metropolitan area. For the cost of just one Care Card, UMOM is able to vaccinate five children against deadly disease, or provide Asthma inhalers for as many as twenty five children.

The Linen Tree is a proud participant in The Care Card program, which raises funds for Ryan House, a charity located right here in Phoenix. Ryan House helps to provide the best quality of life possible for children facing various life threatening illnesses and conditions; Ryan House is set up just for them. Eight colorfully-themed bedrooms function as gateways to adaptive music, art, computer, sensory, hydrotherapy and family fun rooms, along with a fully accessible playground and relaxing garden space outdoors. The aim is not just to lift these children’s spirits, but also to ease the burden on their families.

This broad philosophy of care is a holistic approach to caring for the physical, psychological, spiritual and psychosocial needs of the children and their families. This approach strengthens the family unit, individuals within the family, as well as the broader circle of family, friends and relatives.

A concept that is unique within the Southwest, the first “Ryan House” opened earlier this year in Phoenix and we at The Linen Tree are proud to support the initiative’s future success. We encourage our shoppers to visit Ryan House’s website to learn more about the charity and to read about Ryan himself. We are actively encouraging donations to Ryan House through participation in The Care Card Program. For a minimum donation of $50, our customers can receive a Care Card, which will be good for 20% off all purchases at our store, and at nearly 600 additional local retailers, between October 15th through the 24th, 2010. This represents a great chance to get an early jump on your holiday shopping while being reminded of what is truly important in life.

If you have not yet purchased a Care Card, they are available for purchase inside our store. We hope to see you soon…
