This Thursday evening we will be raffling away more than $15k worth of merchandise as we celebrate 30 years in our current location. Raffle tickets will range from $50 to $100 with all proceeds going to charity. With some help from our suppliers, there will be lots of beautiful merchandise up for grabs. The items pictured below are just a sample of what to expect.

From Downtown Company’s made to order Chateau Silk collection, Windsor Platinum is made in Germany by expert silk craftsman. The collection is woven of 100% silk. We will be raffling off an entire bed – king sheets, a king duvet cover, and five shams. The photo above shows the duvet cover and euro shams.

Giza 45 Percale

Sferra Giza 45 Percale

Along the hot, dry desert of the Sahara, the Nile has created an oasis that enjoys extraordinary weather conditions. The two extremes combine to create ideal conditions for growing the world’s best cotton – referred to as Giza cotton. All Giza cotton is assigned a number – the smaller the number the longer the staple and finer the thread. Many of the finest cotton sheets that we sell are woven from Giza 70 cotton. Giza 45 cotton is exactly what makes Sferra’s Giza 45 collection stand out from that pack. Because the thread is so fine, Giza 45 cotton was generally considered impractical if not unsuitable for bedding, until Sferra introduced this landmark collection several years ago.

Anyways – we’ll be raffling off four separate sheet sets of Giza 45 Percale. The fabric is exceptionally smooth and soft for a fabric that also feels crisp, cool and airy.

SDH Pouf Coverlet

SDH Pouf Coverlet

SDH’s opulent, lightly padded Pouf Coverlet consists of two layers of luxurious silk woven together to contain finely woven wool. It is pictured above in Caviar, but will be raffled away in Chinchilla (a discontinued tan color).

Other confirmed items to be raffled include throws from Lili Alessandra, Bella Notte and Sferra, a Revolution Centerpiece from Kosta Boda, and a duvet from Downright. Also: a “Secret” bed, with coverlet, from Celso de Lemos (which is made by the same people responsible for Abyss & Habidecor’s towels and rugs), and our friend Sal Romano at Poppa Artzee has contributed a gift certificate good for one custom “pet portrait.” The winner can choose from a throw pillow or a 12×12″ canvas.

All proceeds will benefit Mingus Manor Animal Sanctuary

Mingus Manor is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization in Chandler that provides care for Senior and Special Needs pets. Founded by Karen Scherer, the Sanctuary’s mission is to provide the care needed to those pets, who are generally deemed unadoptable by other rescues and animal agencies.

The Mingus Manor Animal Sanctuary – located in Chandler – is a cause dear to The Linen Tree family. Their biggest annual fundraiser is approaching next month.

Founded by local resident Karen Scherer, the Mingus Manor Animal Sanctuary is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that provides care for Senior and other Special Needs dogs. These dogs often end up in the sanctuary’s care because their owner passed away, moved to an assisted living facility, or otherwise found themselves unable to spend the time necessary to properly care for their aging dog. Other dogs are found roaming astray, with obvious signs of having been abused. The one thing all of these dogs have in common: they are going through a tough time in their lives, and without Mingus Manor, they would likely end up at the pound. Keep in mind: they are often experiencing a decline in vision, hearing, and overall health, and can easily become disillusioned once they are suddenly separated from those who have cared for them all their life. Even if they were to receive proper medical care at the pound, strange voices, noises, cold concrete, and confinement can create an overwhelming sense of terror and confusion.

Please view, below, the brochure for the 3rd Annual Dining With the Dogs dinner – $40 reserves for you a night of cocktails, dining, and dancing. To donate money separately, please visit or call (602) 296-5568. Please be aware that medical expenses alone cost Mingus Manor in excess of $15,000 per year, and the organization’s budget is almost exclusively dependent on donations and fundraisers. Anything you can give, helps!

We are gearing up to host Nancy Koltes for a trunk show at The Linen Tree, it’s now only a few days away! There will be hor d’ouerves, champagne, and of course luxury linens – but we hope that our customers will cherish the opportunity to simply meet Nancy, herself, in a relaxed environment. She is not only an influential designer, but also an accomplished entrepreneur, and was one of the first American individuals to gain prominence within the fine linens industry.

As mentioned (scroll below), Nancy has graciously offered to give away a set of Eleanor’s Ribbon. As such, we will be holding a raffle. Tickets will be sold for $5 a piece, and all proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society. This is a great way to support a great cause, and who knows – you might walk away with some new, luxurious, sheets!

We will also be giving 20% off on all purchases of Nancy Koltes bedding that night. What might catch your fancy? Here are just a few possibilities…

Inspired by water color techniques, Giverny is an old design reinterpreted into luxury bedding. It is based on a painting by French artist Philippe David, a friend of Nancy’s. This collection features 100% Egyptian combed cotton sateen, and the design retains its original Impressionist feel and sense of fluidity and transparency.

Linen Bruges

Linen – actual linen, not cotton, or other fabrics now referred to as “linen,” – has been the choice of royalty for centuries. It might not always feel luxurious at the first touch, but linen features unmatched strength and a long staple; boasting great absorption properties, it stays cool to the touch. Nancy Koltes’ Linen Bruges collection, unlike anything else on the market, adds a crepe texture to subtly enhance both the look and feel of pure, Italian linen.

With a classic design and refined hemstitching, Nancy Koltes’ Medici features 100% Egyptian combed cotton woven to a soft and silky 1,010 thread count. A hidden gem, Medici is legitimately one of the most luxurious sheets that money can buy. It is perfect for the sophisticated individual looking to set themselves apart oh so subtly…

Allegro & Adagio

Something new; fresh from Nancy’s 2011 spring collection, these modern patterns feature simplicity and lyricism while still working within a traditional design vocabulary of luxury linens.  100% Egyptian cotton is woven to a fine, yarn-dyed jacquard that uniquely captures natural “flow.”
