Father’s Day is coming up this Sunday, June 21st. From the recommendations to the wrapping to the shipping where required, we are more than happy to help you prepare for this Father’s Day responsibly and conveniently. Just give us a call (or stop by).
Instead of sharing gift ideas, we wanted to share this message we received from Rana Taghdisi of Home Treasures. For those unfamiliar, Home Treasures is the self proclaimed largest manufacturer of fully bespoke luxury Italian linens (in the United States). It’s one of many smaller, family operated suppliers that we have carried at The Linen Tree for many years.
The Snooze Report | Vol. 3
June 12, 2020
To say that 2020 has been a year of change is an understatement. Over the past weeks, we have been challenged yet again to stop and reflect how we go about our daily lives, and how often we take what we have been given for granted. We can do better, and I hope that each of us will strive to be better every day. I know I will.
In my personal experience, I have been asked my fair share of questions, despite being born and raised in the USA: Where are you really from? You don’t look like you’re from Texas… What religion are you? Where were you born? The truth is, and what matters most, is that my family and I are so grateful to be able to call Texas our home, and thank all of you for your continued support for our family: Saeed, myself and the artisans who handcraft Home Treasures’ products every single day. We hope to do the same for you, so please do not hesitate to reach out and let us know how we can be helpful.
During this period, I have taken the opportunity to reflect on my own blessings, including my father, Saeed, who many of you have grown to know personally over the past 32 years. The picture above was taken around my second birthday, a year after Home Treasures had first opened its doors. Despite the amount of work, stress, and frustration that he faced at the time—which as entrepreneurs, we have all certainly experienced these past few months—there are some key lessons by which he lives by: ones I have been lucky enough to take in from working with him these past 5 years.
With Father’s Day just around the corner, I just wanted to share. I’m sure you all have your own learnings, which have been passed on to you by loved ones or through your own experiences. Remember, each of these is something to be thankful for every day, particularly the days that are most challenging.
With all my best,
