Life Changing Mattresses
Perhaps it sounds melodramatic to say that a mattress can be life changing. But, chances are, you spend a third of your life in bed. And studies demonstrate that prolonged, uninterrupted sleep can result in enhanced memory retention (by allowing the brain to clear clutter), healthier skin (via the production of growth hormone), and improved eating habits (by regulating hormones).
Which brand is right for you?
The mattresses we sell are primarily crafted by hand from the finest of materials. Generally, they contain no irritants and no polyurethane foam. Polyurethane, common even amongst higher-end mattresses, is chemically made and contains known respiratory irritants. They are properly supportive and they maintain their shape over time.
The Linen Tree is the only retailer in Arizona to offer mattresses from both VI-Spring and Royal-Pedic. These are two of the most storied brands on the market - and they complement one another more than they overlap. This leaves us well equipped to help you find the mattress (and sleep) of your dreams.
Royal-Pedic mattresses have been crafted by hand in the greater Los Angeles area since 1946. They have graced the bedrooms of the White House as well as countless celebrity homes. VI-Spring mattresses were the first mattresses with pocketed springs. They have been made in England since 1901, and have graced Buckingham Palace - as well as the Titanic.
Experience for yourself
Royal-Pedic is best known for its All Cotton mattress - an exceptionally firm innerspring mattress designed to provide orthopedic support. Whether they feature an innerspring unit or a zoned latex core, all Royal-Pedic mattresses are very firm at their center. Firmness is altered by the addition of quilt tops, pillowtops, and pillowtop pads. However, with orthopedic support in mind, even the cushioning materials used in the quilt tops and pillowtops tend to have a resilient springiness to them. Latex plays a leading role.
By comparison, VI-Spring mattresses offer a soft, more traditional feel that emphasizes comfort above all else. All VI-Spring mattresses feature pocketed springs surrounded by padding materials such as wool and horsehair. The firmness of the pocketed springs can be customized completely, including side by side combinations. But, the springs are always surrounded by soft padding materials (horsehair is the springiest, most resilient material used).
Famous for its incredible craftsmanship, VI-Spring has traditionally offered a lifetime warranty on all of its mattresses (it recently became a 30 year warranty). Whereas, Royal-Pedic offers a more limited ten year warranty. Royal-Pedic's innerspring units and to a lesser extent its latex cores will typically last an exceptionally long time, but impressions usually form in pillowtop padding materials (which is why it can be worthwhile to purchase pillowtop pads separately from a base level mattress as opposed to purchasing a pillowtop model).
Overall, VI-Spring provides a higher-end product and experience. But Royal-Pedic mattresses are less expensive while offering better support, and better sleep for some....
We keep five VI-Spring mattresses and two Royal-Pedic mattresses on our sales floor (usually hidden underneath featured bedding sets), in addition to mattress toppers and product samples. You are welcome to stop by and lay down.
