    Mary Ella Gabler,
    Peacock Alley

From glamorous luster to earthy texture, the Peacock Alley story speaks to anyone hoping to express their sense of self in their surroundings. Peacock Alley, family owned and operated for more than 40 years, began in 1973 when founder Mary Ella Gabler sold her patchwork pillows to Neiman Marcus. Mary Ella, a former New York City stockbroker, saw a void in the market and had set out to develop a line of fashionable bedding that would appeal to consumers like herself, looking to dress their boudoir the same way they dressed themselves.

Today, Peacock Alley continues to source bedding, bath linens, and fabrics from some of the finest mills in Portugal, Italy, and beyond. Bedding is still often made in their Dallas Texas workroom by skilled artisans. Every towel, sheet and sham exudes a sense of indulgence, creating a personal haven and place of comfort. A spirited, yet traditional approach to design finds value in the simple joy of beauty and gracious living.
