Most orders over $100 will ship for about $5 to the United States. Exceptions may apply for heavier orders, large quantities, or special circumstances.
Expedited shipping options are available according to estimated expenses. However, the actual shipping method will be determined in part by actual shipping expenses, relative to funds paid. If you need an item by a specific date, please let us know beforehand so that we can verify costs and availability.
Our store is located in Scottsdale, Arizona, and we usually ship orders via UPS (sometimes USPS) where we have the order in stock. However, we may arrange to have some orders shipped directly from their manufacturer. Customers residing in the Phoenix metropolitan area additionally have the option of picking up their order (when available) at no charge.
Standard online policies will not apply to orders placed by phone, or for international orders. For international shipments - we will contact you with an estimate of shipping costs after you place your order; you will be given the option of paying the shipping costs or cancelling your order.
Items that we have in stock are considered eligible for return within 30 days of the date of delivery. To guarantee a refund, items must be in their original packaging and their original condition - and not laundered; otherwise we may, at our discretion, refuse your return. For stocked items being returned within 15 days of delivery - you may request a prepaid shipping label and we will send one to you via e-mail as a courtesy (exceptions may apply for particularly large, heavy and/or bulk shipments).
While we may be more lenient with returns when items are purchased online rather than with the direct assistance of our sales staff, we reserve the right to refuse returns of merchandise that is special ordered from a manufacturer. Such requests will be treated on a case by case basis and may be heavily influenced by the manufacturer's return policy (or lack thereof). We will also usually refuse returns on items which are custom made, as well as items which have been shipped outside of the United States.
Please contact us with any related questions before placing an order. Thanks!
In 1946, Abe Kaplan set up shop in Los Angeles after learning the art of high-end mattress manufacturing in Great Britain (his employer supplied the Royal family and other dignitaries). Soon, Abe's Royal-Pedic mattresses could be found in Hollywood's most luxurious homes and the company became recognized as a premier manufacturer of high end, exquisite quality mattresses.
Attention to detail and a quest for perfection ensures that Royal-Pedic is the top choice amongst royalty of all types - the company has made mattresses for countless Hollywood celebrities, at least six U.S. Presidents, and several foreign dignitaries such as the Sultan of Brunei. Ronald Reagan requested his own custom 84" x 84" mattress when he was the governor of California. John F. Kennedy insisted on Royal-Pedic Mattresses wherever he traveled. Wilt Chamberlain commissioned the manufacture of a 120" x 120" mattress, assumed to be one of the largest mattresses ever assembled.
Royal-Pedic mattresses contain: lots of fine, long staple, American grown cotton; natural 100% talalay latex harvested from plantations in Indonesia and Malaysia; untreated lamb's wool from New Zealand - a temperature regulating material; and fire retardant that contains lanolin, a natural dust mite repellant. Usually, it all surrounds Royal-Pedic's innovative, double-heat tempered Royal-Flex Innerspring System, the finest offset coil spring system available, with 85% more coils than is standard. The open ended, unknotted six turn coils are ultra sensitive to body contours and are double heat tempered to provide greater durability and resistance to sag. Optionally, choose a 7-zone latex core instead, designed based upon sleep studies at the Kirshgarten Clinic in Basel, Switzerland.
Nothing unnecessarily fancy, each mattress is made very carefully and by hand, from quality materials. All materials used are hypoallergenic and just about all are also completely natural. Royal-Pedic is one of the only mattress manufacturers that does not use any polyurethane foam at all in the manufacture of its mattresses. Polyurethane is chemically made and contains known respiratory irritants.
Generally speaking, Royal-Pedic mattresses are known for their firm, orthopedic support and their highly resilient latex content. The Linen Tree also sells VI-Spring mattresses, which have a softer, more traditional feel by comparison.
